Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed
Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number NEV-63463-R2, pursuant to Section
1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Eric Benson.
The project is limited to the removal and replacement of the existing fixed pier and boathouse
within the same footprint. The removal of the existing pier includes the removal of (13) 24"
diameter footings and (2) 12" diameter footings. The new pier will include (10) 10 3/4"
diameter steel pilings driven to 6' depth. Composite decking will be used as the decking
surface. There will be a reduction of 36.2 square feet of lake bottom disturbance. Caissons
will be installed around the piling during installation and removal.
All construction equipment, debris, and staging will be contained on a floating amphibious
barge. All material transport will be via barge and loaded/offloaded at Donner Lake Marina.
All work will be done from the floating amphibious barge and only when the lake level is lower
than the pier.
