Document Description
The cultivation project operation will take place at 290 Horse Tail Hill Road in Hayfork, Trinity County (APN 014-430-32-00). The proposed cultivation project consists of 9,000 square feet (sf) of outdoor cannabis cultivation, 2,688 sf of immature canopy, and 6,620 sf of associated support building. Mature cultivation will occur in (6) 24’x112’ greenhouses housing (3) 5’ x100’ canopy areas each. Existing support infrastructure is approved to include a 24’x112’ greenhouse for immature canopy and drying, (2) 275-gallon nutrient mixing tanks and a municipal water connection. Water for the project would be provided from a municipal connection. An onsite septic system would serve the project’s domestic wastewater needs. The project energy needs are supplied through the Trinity Public Utility District (TPUD).

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
