Document Description
The City of Redding (City) will revitalize multiple segments of of downtown Redding. The project is needed to connect non-motorized pathways within downtown, better utilize existing right-of way, create safer paths for pedestrians and cyclists, and restore sections of Calaboose Creek. Work will include shared use pathways; sidewalk improvements; ADA compliant curb, gutter, and ramps; standard, raised, and rapid flashing beacon crosswalks; lighting improvements; stream restoration; landscaping and irrigation; drainage modification and improvement; expanded metal fencing; sign installation; paving; striping; and utility relocation as needed. Additionally, the project will include trash removal, maintenance of existing landscape areas, and general maintenance such as graffiti removal and irrigation repair. The improvements will be constructed on City owned property and within easements. Stream restoration will occur on both public and private property. Permits to enter and construct may be required.

The project has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment.
