Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Sections 15314 and 15330
Reasons for Exemption
The Project’s net increase of 5 classrooms and enrollment capacity by 11.1 percent is below the respective 10 classroom and 25 percent threshold specified in CEQA Guidelines Section 15314. Therefore, the Proposed Project satisfies the criteria of the Class 14 categorical exemption.
The PEA consultant (Ninyo and Moore) has concluded, in the exercise of professional judgment, that any response actions required at the Project site would be limited in scope and consistent with a small or medium removal action costing $1 million or less, as described in CEQA Guidelines Section 15330.
