Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-60786-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Howard Dashiell, representing the Mendocino County Department of Transportation. The project is limited to one (1) encroachment to replace a culvert damaged during the 2023 winter storms at Mile Post (MP) 15.50. The damaged corrugated metal pipe culvert will be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert. Additional work for this encroachment will include excavation, installation of new concrete headwalls, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

The project replaces an existing culvert with an appropriately sized culvert and will be installed to current standards. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. The structures have the same use and capacity.
