Document Description
The City of Pasadena proposes to construct and operate the Eaton Wash Stormwater Capture Project, which includes a stormwater capture, treatment, and infiltration facility on a vacant property east of the Eaton Wash Channel, developing passive park uses, a dog park, and a community garden within the project site, and constructing a pedestrian bridge over the channel connecting the new features east of Eaton Wash to Eaton Blanche Park. The stormwater capture and treatment facility would intercept stormwater and dry-weather flow from the Eaton Wash Channel and divert it into a subterranean concrete basin. Construction staging would likely be located off site at the City-owned Kinneloa Yard located west of South Kinneloa Avenue at the intersection of South Kinneloa Avenue and Brandon Street or at a City-owned property south of the Vina Vieja Dog Park, east of the Eaton Wash Channel near the intersection of Avocado Avenue and Alameda Street. Most of Eaton Blanche Park is expected to remain open to the public during construction. The portion of the park proposed for the pedestrian bridge landing and access connections would be closed during construction of those features.
