The Safety Element is being updated to comply with California Board of Forestry best practices and in order to achieve recognition on the Fire Risk Reduction Community List. Updates include updates to implementation measures, inserting links and maps to various other approved wildfire planning documents, updated language on evacuation planning, review standards after a disaster, and road construction standards after a disaster; updated language about fire protection plans; and a new evacuation assessment.
