Document Description
The roadway surface is deteriorating. The Pavement Condition Survey for this section of the road indicates minor to moderate pavement distress ride quality. This CAPM project aims to rehabilitate the roadway, improve ride quality, and extend the life of the existing asphalt concrete pavement on State Route 152 mainline traveled ways, shoulders, and on-and off-ramps, within the project limits of PM R21.9/R35.2. This project will also upgrade/replace the existing metal beam guardrail with Midwest guardrail system and install rumble strips on the inside and outside shoulders in both directions of SR 152, within the said project limits. The project will also repair the settlement at two approach slabs at the SR 152/SR 156 Separation (Bridge # 37 0660R) by polyurethane injection beneath the approach slabs. Existing modified traffic monitoring stations and AC dikes along SR 152 within the project limits will also be replaced. The existing asphalt concrete pavement will be cold planed and overlaid with rubberized hot mix asphalt concrete. Work on the project will be performed per the approved lane closure charts provided by Caltrans D4 Office of Highway Operations. It is anticipated that most of the work will be conducted at night to avoid impact to the driving public.
