Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The full activity description can be found in the Notice of Determination produced by Trinity County. The project would operate 9,000 square feet (sf) of new outdoor mature cannabis canopy cultivation composed of eight 5’x20’, seven 5’x100’, two 5’x120’, and five 5’x140’ hoop houses, 150 sf of immature canopy, and 396 sf of associated support buildings. Water for the Project would be provided from an onsite well. An onsite septic system would serve the Project’s domestic water needs and power for the project is provided through the Trinity Public Utility District (PUD) grid and generators less than 50hp. The Project site is accessed from a surface (graveled) private access road leading from Oregon Street to a locked gate at the property entrance.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was
certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
