Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project will consist of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN): 011-330-020-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-845) and is also seeking an Adult Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 9,971.5 sqft of mature canopy in (259) proposed 7' diameter mature canopy areas (38.5sf each). Support infrastructure is approved to include an existing 26'x57' building for post-harvest processing and a permitted onsite groundwater well. Proposed activities are approved to include installation of the mature canopy boxes as detailed above, six (6) 6'x30' hoop houses for immature canopy; three (3) 10'x12' sheds with one (1) for agricultural chemical, pesticide storage and two (2) for harvest storage; a 20'x30' cannabis waste composting area; four (4) 5,000-gallon water storage tanks with two (2) for irrigation and two (2) for domestic use, cultivation backup. There is a permitted septic system onsite to serve the project's wastewater need and power for the project is provided by TPUD.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
