Document Description
The purpose of this project is to issue a right-of-entry (ROE) permit to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to?Mount Diablo State Park to install a?self-sufficient, solar-powered rain gauge to collect precipitation near the peak of Mount Diablo. The rain gauge?will be installed near the USGS seismic monitoring station and will be used?in conjunction with NOAA local area scanning radars to estimate precipitation during storm events.?The gauge will?communicate with NOAA labs via cell modem with transmitted?data displayed on the NOAA website. ? All work conducted in association with the ROE permit will?comply with?all State and Federal environmental laws, including but not limited to the Endangered Species Act, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and Section 5024 of the Public Resources Code
