Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SIS-57114-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Scott Valley Irrigation District.
The project is limited to the act of diverting water from Scott River at a single point of diversion for their regular operation and maintenance, and recharge project in coordination with Siskiyou County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The Permittee has a channel spanning dam on the Scott River that impounds water for diversion. Water is diverted through a headgate into a fish screen and finally down a ditch to provide water to multiple points of use. CDFW completes the operation and maintenance of the fish screen, and fish screen bypass return from the diversion to Scott River. In coordination with Siskiyou County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, the Permittee has agreed for their diversion to be used for a Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) Project as a Management Action within the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for this basin, pursuant to SGMA.
