Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and 15304 (Minor Alterations to Land)
Reasons for Exemption
The project qualifies for an exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 because the project would allow for the continued operation of an existing WCF and would not result in an expansion of existing or former use. The project qualifies for an exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15304 (b) since the project would include the installation of required landscaping. The exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 would not apply considering the project would not significantly contribute to a cumulative impact; is not within a state scenic highway; is not included on any list compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 for hazardous waste sites; and the project would not cause substantial adverse changes in the significance of a historical resource.
