Document Description
Oroville Fire Department/Cal-Fire has requested a Notice of Exemption (NOE) pertaining to annual controlled brus, and grass burns on several isolated properties within the Oroville City limits. The conditions of the NOE are similar to other vegetation clearance and re-occurring prescribed fire training projects throughout California. These parcels have been treated over the years by the Oroville Fire Department. Once completed, this fuel break will be maintained on an annual basis through the use of prescribed fire. This burn is being conducted to manage the annual volunteer growth of grassland vegetation for safety. The area shall be maintained using similar treatments and techniques hereafter.
