Document is a joint MND/EA by the City of Los Angeles and Caltrans. The project would widen Alameda Street to provide three lanes in each direction with a minimum right-of-way width of approximately 105 feet. The project would also reconstruct the Henry Ford Avenue/Alameda Street/Denni Street intersection to a standard T-intersection configuration; upgrade railroad crossing facilities at the Wilmington Wye; construct a Class I shared-use bicycle and pedestrian path; and improve roadway pavement, drainage, lighting, traffic signal systems, and utilities. The project is intended to improve goods movement, operational safety, and multimodal access along the Alameda Street corridor.
