Document Description
The purpose of the 9th Street Bikeway Project is to improve bicycle connectivity along 9th Street and within the Central City. The 9th Street Bikeway is a key component of the Central City Mobility Project, which is designed to improve transportation options, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance mobility for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. The project will reallocate the available right-of-way to install an enhanced biking facility on 9th Street starting at Q Street and terminating at Broadway. The number of vehicle lanes will remain unchanged; however, the two class 2 bike lanes will be replaced by a parking-protected bike lane. All improvements are anticipated to be contained within the available right-of-way.
