Document Description
Caltrans proposes replacing existing overhead single-post box beam sign structures with new overhead versatile truss-type sign structures. New sign structures installed in the right shoulder will have new Type XI retro-reflective sheeting sign panels. The project also proposes installing Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) to shield the new sign structures where the existing guardrails do not meet current standard. Two trash capture nets are also proposed. The purpose of the project is to reduce maintenance costs by replacing existing single-post box beam overhead sign structures and sign panels to comply with the current standards.
