Document Description
Caltrans proposes to upgrade median concrete barriers, install safety lighting, and replace overhead signage on I-580. The project also proposes to remove and replace nonstandard metal beam guard railing with Midwest Guardrail System and place concrete blocks to accommodate transition railing on SR-13. The purpose of this project is to improve traffic safety and nighttime visibility to reduce collisions, protect the structural integrity of the freeway, and maintain freeway functionality.
