Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project will consist of cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor's Parcel Number (APN): 019-350-006-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-859) and is also seeking an Adult Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 7,987sqft mature canopy composed of (163) 5'x5' boxes, each with 7'x7' canopy areas; (51) of the boxes are proposed and (112) are existing. Existing support infrastructure is approved to include a permitted onsite groundwater well, a 1,000-gallon and two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks; 275-gallon nutrient mixing tank, 10'x20' area for immature canopy; 10'x12' shed for harvest storage, 5.5'x8' structure for ag chemical, pesticide, generator storage; a 3'x5' structure and a 12'x9' shed for petroleum storage; and a 10'x20' cannabis waste, composting area. A permitted onsite septic system will serve the project's wastewater needs, and power for the project will be provided by solar panels for the well pump and generator less than 50hp. Proposed activities are approved to include installation of the (51) boxes for mature canopy as detailed above, on previously disturbed area.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
