Document Description
[PROJECT TITLE CONTINUED]:Bureau of Reclamation to Make Non-Project Water Available to the Department of Water Resources at Banks Pumping Plant under SWP #26007 (SWP #26007-A) The original Agreement, SWP #26007, provides for the conveyance of up to 82,204 acre-feet of Central Valley Project (CVP) water (Non-Project Water) to Tulare, including up to 20,000 acre-feet of Lower Tule River Irrigation District’s (Lower Tule’s) 2026 San Joaquin River Restoration Program Recapture Water. The Non-Project Water is to be made available by the United States Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) to DWR at O’Neill Forebay by February 28, 2027 for subsequent delivery by DWR to Tulare by December 31, 2027. This Amendment adds Lower Tule’s 2025 San Joaquin River Restoration Program Recapture Water as part of the 20,000 acre-feet of San Joaquin River Restoration Program Recapture Water originally approved. Furthermore, for operational flexibility between DWR and Reclamation, this Amendment adds Banks Pumping Plant as an additional location where Reclamation could provide the Non-Project Water to DWR.
