Document Description
To authorize an existing 84-inch-diameter, 214-foot-long reinforced concrete pipe culvert under Highway 70 within the Western Pacific Interceptor Canal (WCIP) as shown in December 5, 1955 'as-constructed drawing' (page 29 of 52) by the California Department of Transportation. The culvert was installed prior to the adoption of the WCIP as a regulated stream.

The Board has determined that the project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1, Existing Facilities categorical exemption (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301), because the activity consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use. No expansion of existing or former use will occur. Further, no exceptions to the exemption in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
