Document Description
Project proposes to extend an existing fence on the west side of Columbia Street in Columbia State Historic Park by approx. 104-ft to prevent pedestrians from emerging from the rock area onto the active roadway. Work will: • Excavate approx. fourteen (14) 12-in dia. x 18-in deep post holes, approx. 8-ft apart; • Place one (1) 6 x 6 non-treated western red cedar post into each hole, leaving 5-ft above grade; • Pour compacted road base gravel around post, tamped in layers, to secure each post; and • Install non-treated western red cedar split rails between the posts to complete the fence.
