Document Description
The project proposes to recoat two water tanks: one off of Exbourne Avenue and one off Belmont Canyon Road (both are in the City of Belmont, though the Exbourne site is accessed from a driveway in San Carlos). The Exbourne (W) Tank is approximately 66 feet in diameter and 43 feet high, with a capacity of one million gallons. The West Belmont (N) Tank is approximately 56 feet in diameter by 46 feet high, with a capacity of 850,000 gallons. The Exbourne (W) Tank will undergo an exterior overcoat and full interior recoat. The West Belmont (N) Tank will undergo an exterior overcoat. Minor appurtenance improvements are also planned at one or both sites including replacing anchor bolt nuts, exterior/interior ladder modifications, roof safety gate modification, level indicators, and installation of a roof blower and additional roof vents to improve air circulation. The project includes best management practices related to biological resources, hazardous materials, hydrology and water quality, and noise.
