Document Description
A program of phased prescribed fire and associated activities will take place across Cuyamaca Rancho State Park following the 2003 Cedar Fire to enhance forest resiliency and promote healthier forest canopy. This will be accomplished under the Cuyamaca Peak Forest Health Project to support recovery of montane forest structure, reduction of hazardous fuel loading and restoration of ecological processes. Project implementation will be coordinated with ongoing CRSP reforestation and forest health efforts and conducted in compliance with applicable cultural, biological, and wilderness resource protection requirements.
