Document Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power plans to install a 4 inch domestic water service line and fire hydrant on Santa Monica Boulevard Between North Wilton Place and North St Andrews Place in Los Angeles, CA. The project entails sawcutting and excavation of parkway concrete and street asphalt to install ductile iron pipe to supply water services for customers. The water service line and the fire hydrant line will each be 40 feet in length, for a total pipe length of 80 feet. LADWP will restore the pavement according to the typical cross section trench detail as described in the Caltrans R/W encroachment permit.

Class 3 consists of construction and location of limited number of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures. Section 15303(d) includes water main, sewage, electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, of reasonable length to serve such construction.
