Document Description
The proposed project, SP-4327 – Almond Avenue and Collins Avenue Street Improvements, consists of roadway rehabilitation along Almond Avenue from Main Street to Cypress Street and Collins Avenue from Tustin Street to Handy Street in the City of Orange. The project is part of the City’s Pavement Management Program and is intended to extend the service life of existing roadway infrastructure and improve overall roadway conditions. Proposed improvements generally include asphalt concrete pavement overlay with localized pavement reconstruction where necessary, removal and replacement of damaged curb and gutter, cross gutter, sidewalks, and driveway approaches, installation and upgrade of ADA-compliant curb ramps in accordance with current accessibility standards, construction of new curb and gutter where missing, adjustment of utility surface appurtenances to grade, and restoration of pavement striping and markings. All work will occur within the existing public street right-of-way and will not expand roadway capacity. Construction is anticipated to begin in July 2026 and is expected to be completed prior to the start of the upcoming school year
