Document Description
The Project will replace two inoperative pumps, upgrade the pumphouse, and make structural upgrades to walkways outside of the pumphouse building at 100 Lincoln Center Dr. in Foster City. Repairs and maintenance will occur on both the sides of the pumphouse and will have temporary impacts to San Francisco Bay (Bay) and Foster City Lagoon (Lagoon). On the Lagoon side, cofferdams will be installed to isolate the two oldest pumps on the East side of the pumphouse. These pumps will be replaced, and maintenance work will be conducted while the area is dewatered. Cofferdams will then be installed to isolate the two pumps on the West side of the pumphouse, and repairs will be made. Bay side maintenance work will also require dewatering and will include repair of the flap gates, cleaning and repair of the box culvert, repair of concrete within the forebay, and general maintenance of the pumphouse.
