Document Description
The proposed project would replace a failing discharge pipe coupling at the Moreno Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility (MVRWRF). This pipe coupling connects Plant 1 influent pump station (IPS) pump 5 with the 36-inch diameter influent pipeline for the Plant 2 grit chamber. Due to failures with IPS pump 5 and 7, the scope of work would also include the removal of the failing pumps, installation of pump supports while pumps are out of service, and the reinstallation of the pumps once they have undergone needed repairs. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate equipment at the MVRWRF to continue to provide adequate wastewater treatment. The beneficiaries of the project are EMWD ratepayers.
