Document Description
Southern California Edison (SCE) is required to maintain a pedestrian walkway through the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Exclusion Area below the SONGS seawall. The riprap materials adjacent to the walkway retaining wall have been degraded by wave action over the years. While the riprap on the south portion of the walkway was restored to its original design in 2018, the remaining (north) portion continues to degrade. Through this project, SCE proposes to restore 1470 linear feet of the northern portion of the walkway riprap to its original, permitted design. These repairs will preserve the integrity of the walkway and ensure pedestrian safety.
