Document Description
The project consists of the installation of a Flock Safety automated license plate reading (ALPR) camera to be installed on behalf of the Watsonville Police Department. The installation consists of a 13' X SQRD REDITORQUE pole with a camera and solar panel (to power the camera) mounted to the pole with minimal limited ground disturbance consisting of the pole concrete caisson. The purpose of the installation is to provide law enforcement with the ability to detect license plates associated with criminal activity and to assist law enforcement with intercepting these vehicles. The beneficiaries of the project are both law enforcement and the public at large as this installation will serve public safety interests and help make Santa Cruz County a safer community.
