CalEPA approved regulatory amendments to the provisions in Chapter 2 of Division 5 of Title 19 of the California Code of Regulations for regulations pertaining to the California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) program, specifically for petroleum refineries regulated under “Program 4”. The purpose of the CalARP program is to prevent the accidental releases of regulated substances that can cause serious harm to the public and the environment, and to minimize the damage if releases do occur.
