Document Description
The proposed project includes improvements to the Fall River Valley Community Services District’s (FRVCSD) water system throughout the communities of Fall River Mills and McArthur, properties along State Route (SR) 299, and properties within the Sierra Center Subdivision and the Country Club Subdivision. Improvements include replacing approximately ~16,000 feet of water main, isolation valves, and fire hydrants in Fall River Mills; replacing ~492 water meters throughout the District’s service area; and installing supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system components throughout the District’s water system. Improvements associated with the Fall River Mills Well No. 2 include rerouting the existing piping between the existing water storage tanks and the existing well. Improvements at the existing Country Club Booster Pump Station site include abandoning the existing booster pump station facilities, including the hydropneumatic tank, and constructing a new booster pump station and appurtenant facilities. An existing pressure reducing valve (PRV) would be either modified or replaced with a supervisory valve within an existing underground vault adjacent to State Route 299, immediately east of the Fall River Mills Airport. A new 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank would be constructed in McArthur. The tank would be 44 feet in diameter at its widest section and 160 feet in height. A test well (McArthur Well No. 2) would be converted into a permanent well; the improvements include installing a new well building, pumps and motors, piping, and instrumentation and controls.
