Document Description
The City proposes to construct a mixture of Class I, Class Ill and Class IV trails connecting the Fairfield-Vacaville Hannigan Train Station with three schools and Travis Air Force Base. The path of the new trail encompasses the Train Station South Portal to the Markeley Lane-Viking Lane intersection (Class I temporary trail), Markeley Lane (Class IV), De Ronde Drive (Class IV), intersects Forbes Street, parallels the storm drain channel (Class I), Air Base Parkway (Class I) and Parker Road (Class Ill). Proposed improvements would include lighting, camera system,
wayfinding signage, storm water low-impact development (LID), and potentially seating areas if funding allows.

The project site is in the northeastern portion of Fairfield in Solano County, California. The project site consists of a linear trail alignment that begins at the south portal of the Fairfield-Vacaville Hannigan Train Station and extends south to the main gate of Travis Air Force Base on Parker Road. The majority of the project site is within City of Fairfield right-of-way along De Ronde Drive, Forbes Street, Markeley Lane, Air Base Parkway and Parker Road. However, portions of the project site are on federal land associated with Travis Air Force Base and on private land designated for residential development in the City’s Train Station Specific Plan.
