Document Description
This roadside rest area rehabilitation project will upgrade water and wastewater systems for both the westbound (WB) and eastbound (EB) White Water SRRAs, located on Interstate 10 (I-10) at Post Mile (PM) R24.5/26.4 in Riverside County. The rehabilitation will include changing the water supply from the existing water well to a new water meter service and include installation of a 1.5-mile water supply line. The water service will be from Mission Springs Water District (MSWD), and the meter will be located at Haugen-Lehmann Way interchange.

This project consists of upgrade irrigation systems, highway planting and roadside rehabilitation, erosion control, paving beyond the gore, repair/replace fences and gates, and construct new maintenance vehicle pullouts which falls under Categorical Exemption- Class 1. Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use.
