The Project proposes pedestrian and roadway improvements at two intersections within the City of Sunnyvale. Specifically, the Project would replace the existing traffic signals (including poles, pull boxes, conduits, controller cabinet assembly, vehicular and pedestrian heads, vehicular detection, wire and wiring, and communication); reconstruct curb ramps to be ADA compliant; resurface the intersection roadways
with a slurry seal; re-stripe the roadway; update intersection signage; and install curb

The Project would modify existing facilities with no expansion of existing use, as allowed by Class 1, Section 15301 (c) (Existing highways and streets, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar facilities) of the State CEQA Guidelines. The Project is not anticipated to meet any of the exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2.
