Document Description
The project is considered a common sense exemption under CEQA if it is a non-impactful project that does not involve any unusual circumstances. The development of a parking lot does not significantly alter the existing environment or impact local resources. The project site is vacant; however, it is surrounded by existing light industrial and commercial uses and is currently zoned Planned Industrial which could be developed ministerially with light industrial uses. If approved, the vehicle inventory parking lot will maintain consistency with the adopted Development Standards for the new Planned Development zoning district and with the density and intensity allowed with the “Planned Industrial” designation of the General Plan. The project will not have the potential for a significant environmental effect.
