Document Description
The proposed project will construct an Extended Learning Opportunities Program Center (ELOP) on 67 acres. The ELOP will operate as a school enrichment center. The project will be constructed in four phases. Most of the buildings supporting the ELOP will be constructed within Phase 1. Children from schools within the City of Palmdale will be transported by bus to the ELOP to participate in the available programs. The ELOP will run an afterschool program during the school year and an all-day program during the summer. The children will be picked up and dropped off at their schools. Parents will not be allowed to drop-off/pick-up students except in case of emergency. Trips by buses, staff, and deliveries are the standard traffic to and from the ELOP. Phase 1A consisting of an admin modular building, 5 flexible modular studios , 3 modular restrooms, modular electrical room, bus covered parking, 2 mini-pitch sports court, playground with shade structure, fire access lane, interior fencing, site access aligned with 42nd Street, temporary bus drop off, staff parking, and off-site improvements of Avenue Q. Site work will include underground utilities, landscaping, reconfigurations and expansion of flatwork and access drives. Interior fencing will be established with each phase.
