Because the geotechnical and hazardous waste sampling work would be conducted to gather information about the Project, it would be consistent with the requirements of Section 15306 of the State CEQA Guidelines. Furthermore, as temporary data collection efforts, these data collection activities would have no permanent effects on the environment, qualifying the Project for a Class 6 categorical exemption pursuant to CEQA.
