Document Description
The project is located on Alameda Creek (Zone, 5, Line A) flood control channel in the vicinity of the BART Weir, in the City of Fremont. The Alameda Creek fish ladder was completed in 2022. The Alameda Flood Control & Water Conservation District requires routine maintenance pertaining to the removal of sediment and debris that could reduce or block the flow of water on the fish ladder and resting pool area. All work will be performed on Flood Control District Properties and easements. The purpose of the project is to maintain the fish ladder and resting pool area on a yearly basis, and to allow continued safe upstream migration of steelhead, Coho and Chinook salmon to reach upstream spawning habitat.
