Document Description
This project seeks to establish a connection between East Oakland and the San Leandro Bay waterfront by installing a Class I multi-use pathway along the south side of 66th Avenue between San Leandro Street and Oakport Street. Improvements include realignment of Interstate 880 freeway on and off-ramps on both sides of the I-880, full signal separation at all intersection crossings, upgraded railway crossing infrastructure at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing east of Coliseum Way, new accessible bus stops at the Dil Damon Slough trailhead at 66th Avenue/Zhone Way and Oakport Street, and upgraded AC Transit bus stops at Coliseum Way with an accessible loading area that will facilitate in-lane stops for faster service. This project will connect to the East Bay Greenway Class I pathway on the east side of San Leandro Street.

These pedestrian/bicycle improvements to an existing roadway will not have a significant impact on the environment.
