The project site consists of an existing roadway and the primary use is access and parking for the San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot. The proposed project would be a negligible expansion of use and fits the example of the types of applicable projects under the Class 1 Categorial Exemption. The project site currently consists of an existing roadway with parking on both the northern and southern sides of the roadway. The primary use is access and parking for the San Bernardino Santa Fe Depot Train Station. The addition of bus pads and bus shelters would provide increased transit access to an existing transit facility. The proposed project would be a negligible expansion of use and fits the example of the types of applicable projects under the Class 1 Categorical Exemption. The proposed project would not meet any of the exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 which would disqualify it from a Categorical Exemption.
