The Safety Element Update, as part of the Walnut Creek General Plan, would establish goals, policies, and actions that are intended to guide City decision-making related to safety and climate adaptation and resilience strategies. The purpose of the Safety Element goals, policies, and actions is to increase the city's adaptive capacity to respond to hazards and climate change-related impacts to meet the current and future needs of people living and working in Walnut Creek.
