Document Description
The Alameda County Public Works Agency (County) proposes to install a large underground trash capture device on Redwood Road near the intersection of Lessley Avenue in the unincorporated community of Castro Valley, Alameda County, California, in an effort to achieve compliance with the 100% trash load reduction requirement as set forth in the County’s current Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit (MRP3) with the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board. The entire excavation footprint (approximately 13 feet wide by 25 feet long) and the trash capture device itself (approximately 7 feet wide by 13 feet long) will be within the County road right-of-way. The underground structure will be installed in-line with an existing 30-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe in the underground pipe system.
