Document Description
Caltrans proposes a project to improve highway traffic monitoring and reduce traffic congestion by replacing 22 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) locations in various counties. The project will leverage various sensor technologies to continuously monitor traffic flow and manage traffic safety at various post miles on State Route (SR) 99, 65, 267 and Interstate (I) 5 and I-80. This project is needed as a list of 22 chronic CCTV locations that have been identified. These 22 locations are outdated and need replacement, allowing efficient use of traffic monitoring and relieving traffic congestion. The project involves only electrical work and requires no soil disturbance
