Document Description
Metropolitan proposes to operate, maintain, and permit an existing portable abrasive blaster (Schmidt 1.5 CF) used to remove rough surfaces and to prepare the surfaces for coating, painting, or finishing. Metropolitan is required to obtain a “Permit to Operate Regulated Equipment” from the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The portable unit would be installed in the back of a utility truck to be used at various locations within Metropolitan’s service area for operations and maintenance activities. The portable unit would be housed at Metropolitan’s Soto Street Facility when not in operation. This unit would be permitted under SCAQMD Facility ID# 6432.
