Document Description
The project entails replacing four existing stormwater drainage culverts located north of the San Luis Rey River within the City of Oceanside, including three crossings beneath North River Road and one crossing beneath Sleeping Indian Road. The existing culverts are undersized and prone to sediment and debris accumulation, which restricts stormwater flow and contributes to localized flooding. The proposed improvements include installation of larger reinforced concrete box culverts and one high-density polyethylene storm drain, along with associated headwalls and riprap energy dissipaters at culvert outlets. Work will involve demolition of existing culvert structures, trenching, excavation, and temporary lane closures along North River Road and Sleeping Indian Road. Following installation, affected roadway segments will be repaved and restored to pre-project conditions.
