Document Description
The Project will restore and maintain early-successional habitat to benefit the population of endangered western lily (Lilium occidentale) at Point Saint George. Habitat restoration will include the manual removal of encroaching woody vegetation, prescribed fire, and invasive species management, as well as monitoring and adaptive management.
The project qualifies for a Class 33 Categorical Exemption because it is a small habitat restoration project of less than five acres. The project is purposely designed to avoid adverse impacts to the endangered western lily and will improve its habitat by removing successional threats and reinstating a suitable disturbance regime.
