Document Description
A District Director's Order (DDO) is requested to repair nonfunctional Highway Advisory Radio Beacons across various routes and postmiles within San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The Maintenance Transportation Maintenance Systems (TMS) team reported multiple units are out of service, and State forces have been unable to restore them. Work will include removal and replacement of necessary components and a full system test to restore functionality. All work will be done within the State Right of Way.

The project is exempt because it consists of the repair and maintenance of an existing public facility (highway radio system) used to provide communication services. Work involves negligible or no expansion of the existing use and does not result in a significant effect on the environment. All work will be performed within Caltrans/Public Right of Way. No work will take place beyond Form adapted from Appendix E of the CEQA Guidelines August 2024.
