Reasons for Exemption
The installation and operation of Solar and Advanced Energy Storage system are exempt under Public Resource Code 21080.35 - installed in existing parking lots and on existing roofs, CEQA, Class 1, Existing Facilities, Class 3 - New Construction of Small Equipment, and under Class-4 - minor alterations to land. These systems have no air emissions associated with the equipment, result in no noticeable increase in noise, require minor earthwork, and are contiguous to other institutional structures.
