Document Description
DWR and Contractor will repair the California Aqueduct. Work will include filling voids in the CAAQ liner and concrete liner work to match the existing panels and fabric formed concrete. Dump trucks will be used to haul spoils to be disposed of at nearest waste facility. Staging will be on the existing roadway for the CAAQ. Work includes installing new water stops, concrete panels, and joint sealants, replacement of culvert drainpipes, reinforcement and hardening of drainage within SWP right-of-way. All work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities and repairs to damage from Governor declared state of emergency related to multiple severe weather events in late 2025. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
